Day 2 and Day 3: I !<3 doughnuts

I am a developer. Deal with it.

Day 2:
Today my temptations are colorful doughnuts. Out of all delicious doughnuts, that one doughnut is staring back at me with big black toppings, it's cookies and creme doughnut. It looked yumm!!. I never had it before but can certainly imagine it's taste. So how did I walk past it? I just associated a crazy heavy calorific figure to each doughnut and told myself not to stare for too long and move on.  I have a dinner party to attend and I am hoping they don't make anything way too delicious :)

Good luck for day 3!

Day 3:
Btw I didn't eat any dessert last night. I was good. When I was offered dessert I respectfully said I am stuffed with delicious dinner, I will get to dessert in a few minutes. That made the hostess not to concentrate on me that much and that made it easy to skip it altogether :) One point for the team No Dessert. Day 3 brought no temptations but was feeling a bit weak when I didn't get my lunch on time. Man sugars.. We need them and we are planning to avoid them. Ugh!! So immediately I rushed to my new best friend in crisis - banana. Ate one for some potassium and sugar. Felt good. That was the only sweet treat for the day. I am becoming good at it :)

Day 1: So far so good.

I woke up, had a coffee no sugar and it felt good. Skipped breakfast and that's a big mistake. I started craving sugars and when I looked around I saw scores of Indian sweets on the dining table and was wondering how I can stay away from them. Thankfully I walked around  the dining table and turned on the television. Also to add fuel and support to my effort, I went to the temple and prayed. First good thing I did, I took a banana for Prasadam instead of laddoo. Ate  dinner and I again craved for a sweet. So simple solution -  watch project runway. Know what, project runway works. Not only because it is not about food but it is about clothes and fashion forward thinking that encourages us to stay away from sugars :) and the trick worked (We see what we want to see).  I slept on day one not touching the complex carbohydrate. Woohoo!!

I said no to sugar

I did it. I acknowledged the fact that sugar is a sweet poison. In limit it is good fun for our taste buds and a mood booster but one additional spoon full is a mistake that can create an avalanche of health issues and can cost us dearly. I made a resolution and would like to keep it. I am giving up sugar.

Be a part of my journey and let's see me keep my first ever resolution.

P.S: I did give myself cheat day. During extremely special occasions, birthdays and weddings I can savor a dessert. These cannot be more 1 per month. So in the whole year I can cheat 12 times.
